Regent Business Equipment expand their customer base to the UK mainland with a new ecommerce site developed by Binary Delights.

Working closely with Regent Business Equipment, we were able to provide a high level of customisation to an osCommerce store. Being open source software, osCommerce allowed us to develop the following features in to an existing osCommerce installation:

• Product cost price with defineable percentage mark-up
  Rather than use the in-built product's price field, Brother Toners requested that a field be created for cost-price and a global percentage mark-up be added. This required extensive customisation of the check-out process.
• Advanced search words functionality allowing for mispellings and product model variations
  The in-built search facility in osCommerce allows for searching the product name & description fields. We created extra search functions that include extra fields that are not visible on the product info page.
• Customer credit account functionality
  This feature was added as an alternative payment module to allow customers with existing credit accounts to make purchases without having to complete the order process using the RBS payment module.
• Extra product fields
  Various extra fields were added to the products table to allow for the additional attributes to the products.

Corporate video was supplied and branded. Secure payments using RBS Payment Gateway.

Highly customised product manager allows for product specific data to be stored and utilised from the front end.
