"A modular design is absolutely critical in order to realize a quantum computer with truly phenomenal processing power".
Disclaimer: I know nothing about quantum mechanics, quantum entanglement or 'spooky action at a distance'
Quantum Leap was a favourite show of mine in my early teens. Quantum Paint was my main art program on the Atari ST for a long time. Quantim of Solace.... erm. Quantum Computing is something I looked at last year and was trying to grasp some of the concepts.
The idea that something can be in two different places at the same time baffles me - like a great illusion by a master magician!
Without understanding the theory(!), I like the idea of more powerful computers. Like running simulations in the very excellent Source Code.
Let's just hope Gus Gorman doesn't get his hands on the technology!
